Oral HealthBrushing and Flossing

Even with the chemical assistance of chlorine dioxide in the CloSYS II Oral Health System you still have to do your part. You know, there's nothing like the fresh, clean feeling in your mouth after you've brushed and flossed your teeth to make you feel good. But cleaning your teeth properly does much more for you than help keep your smile bright and your breath fresh. The reason we brush and floss is to remove plaque, a colorless, sticky film of bacteria that constantly forms on teeth. Plaque is one of the main causes of tooth decay and gum disease. So making a habit of practicing good oral hygiene can really pay off in more ways than you think. You are not only keeping your teeth and gums in good shape, you're also contributing to your over all health.

DAILY ORAL CARE IN 4 STEPS
  • Floss first
  • Brush
  • Clean your tongue
  • Rinse
Clean between your teeth at least once a day. Use floss or other interdental cleaners to remove plaque from areas that your toothbrush can't reach. If you don't floss you're leaving up to 40% of your tooth surface untouched and unclean.

Use a soft bristled toothbrush or an electric toothbrush and CloSYS II toothpaste. You should brush at least 2 minutes spending 30 seconds brushing each section of your mouth (upper right and left lower right and left).
  1. For the outer tooth surfaces place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle toward the gumline.
  2. Use gentle short strokes, moving the brush back and forth against the teeth and gums.
  3. Use this same motion to clean the chewing and inner tooth surfaces.
  4. To clean the inner front tooth surfaces, hold the brush upright and use gentle up and down strokes with the tip of the brush.
  5. Don't forget to brush along the gumline, and make sure you reach those teeth right at the back.
The jobs not finished yet, cleaning or scraping of your tongue not only removes bacteria from it but it also helps with bad breath. It has been estimated that the debris in the mouth may be responsible for up to 90 percent of oral malodor. Place your tongue as far out of the mouth as possible. Place the tongue scraper or cleaner as far back as possible, and place force on the implement to flatten the tongue, making the scraper confirm to the surface of the tongue. Pull the tongue cleaner forward slowly to the front of the mouth. Rinse the device by placing it under running water, repeat till you feel like you have covered your whole tongue.

Finally swish vigorously with CloSYS II Oral Rinse for 30 seconds this will help ineliminating the volatile sulpher compounds which will take away an bad breath and give you that fresh breath feeling.
