Information BookletPrevention

What can I do to help prevent gum disease? There are two interrelated approaches.
  1. Regular dental office visits. Here, you will experience a thorough soft tissue (gums, cheeks, tongue, floor and roof of the mouth) examination. Also, your dentist will examine your teeth, paying close attention to all restorative work (fillings, crowns, etc.), and if present , orthodontic work. Finally, you will be provided with a cleaning or prophylaxis. (In medicine prophylaxis means a preventative treatment. As applied specifically to dentistry, having your teeth professionally cleaned is an integral part of preventative treatment).

  2. Home care and maintenance. A good preventative plan includes brushing, of course, and how you brush and how often you brush are keys to success. It is interesting to note that the average person brushes his/her teeth once a day and for less than a minute per brushing. Hardly enough. Flossing and medicinal oral rinses are also useful in creating a healthy oral environment. Your dentist may recommend a sonic or electric toothbrush and irrigator to make these jobs easier — and they are patient friendly.

In addition to the above is there anything else I can use that might help fight plaque and volatile sulfur compounds?

ClosysII Products Studies show that oxygenating chlorine dioxide destroys VSCs. Other studies show that oxygenating chlorine dioxide effectively inhibits pellicle formation. And last, but certainly not least, it kills many species of offending bacteria. With the destruction of the VSCs, the slowdown of pellicle formation and the reduction in bacteria, unhealthy gum tissue can more effectively protect itself and allow the natural healing process to run its course.

Both Rowpar® Pharmaceuticals products, CloSYSII® Toothpaste and CloSYSII® Oral Rinse, contain a patented oxygenating chlorine dioxide formulation designed to greatly improve your oral health.

Fresh Breath
From time to time everyone will suffer from social problems associated with bad breath. Some people, no matter what they try, cannot find relief. Most people turn to ordinary toothpastes and mouthwashes to prevent and cure bad breath but these products can only mask the unwanted odor with a pleasant smell, and unfortunately, the agreeable effects last for only minutes at a time.

What causes bad breath?
Volatile sulfur compounds. The same VSCs that are associated with gum disease.

Use oxygenating chlorine dioxide formulated CloSYSII® Toothpaste and CloSYSII® Oral Rinse as recommended by your dental professional and stop bad breath at its source.

Production of VSC

Other Products only cover VSC.

Rowpar Pharmaceuticals' patented chlorine dioxide system actually breaks down and neutralizes VSCs to eliminate bad breath for hours.

As the graph shows, odor-causing VSCs are destroyed on contact and the effects last for hours.
